Welcome to Glo Uk’s Website Terms and Conditions. By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below.
We may change these terms and conditions without notice to you in relation to future sales.
Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on our website are accurate at the time of your order. If an error is found, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the choice of continuing with your order at the correct price, or cancelling your order.
Lead time is the time it takes from receipt of order to delivery to your door
Lead times are quoted underneath each item and refer to working days (excludes weekends)
If lead times quoted vary i.e. 3 days for one item and 5 days for another we will deliver when all goods are ready for dispatch. Please let us know if you need it in a hurry. We do have other delivery options available (surcharge may be involved)
We aim to fulfil all orders from stock. If any item(s) cannot be dispatched within a reasonable time, we will notify you of the likely delivery date and ask you to confirm acceptance of this or reimburse you to the value of the item(s).
Shipping Charges & Upon Delivery
All orders are delivered free of charge to mainland UK* (excluding Northern Ireland, The Scottish Highlands and Islands where there is a surcharge)
* (unless classified as a ’Special Order’ which you will be notified of)
Please be aware:
Orders sent to third party delivery companies or "Parcel Motels" are done so at your own risk.
We, or our courier service, will not be held liable for loss or breakage claims to this type of address.
Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. You must check the contents of the package at that moment in time otherwise this may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.
When your order arrives you must check for damages and or shortages. Claims for damages and or shortages must be made within 48 hours of receipt of your delivery. Please notify us via our e-mail address. Please include your order number and the nature of the problem. Claims outside of the 48 hours will be refused. Time and date of delivery is recorded with our Courier.
Cancellation / Refund / Exchanges
Cancellation - You have the right to cancel your order up to seven working days after you have received the goods, providing the goods have not been fitted, assembled or modified in any way and are returned in their original packaging.
To exercise your right of cancellation, you must fill in our ’7 day returns’ form online, email it to us (to obtain a returns number) and enclose (with returns number) with the goods you are returning. If you exercise your right of cancellation after the goods have been dispatched, or you wish to return the goods under the 7 day retuns policy, you will be liable for returning the goods to us at your own cost.
Refunds and exchanges - will be subject to the item(s) returned to us in its/their original condition. That is, unused, all labels intact and in its/their proper resalable packaging - This includes being sent back in the original outer box -(note: Lampshades must not be removed from their cellophane). A full refund will not be given if the item is not able to be sold again as new. The customer shall be held liable for the return of all items.
For complete orders being returned, the cost of carriage incurred for sending the goods out will be deducted from the refund
Please check your goods before booking an electrician, glasses not broken, light goes together correctly etc
We insist that a reputable courier service is used and the appropriate online form completed and enclosed with returned goods.
Please note that you have a statutory duty to take reasonable care to ensure that the goods are not damaged in transit and that we receive the goods. If reasonable care is not exercised, we may make a claim against you for not exercising this statutory duty.
Subject to the goods being returned in their original condition, the online returns form enclosed, a refund will be issued or an exchange will be organised. We are happy to refund the purchase price in full if the return results from a faulty item.
Please be aware that we cannot arrange collection of goods under any circumstances
Please ensure that the item is packaged securely using an outer box and Claim form enclosed. Returns should then be sent to:-

Bespoke items are made to order and are therefore non-returnable.
We are happy to price match on items sold on our website. All we need is the details of the website and the current selling price. Our price match promise can be withdrawn at any time and we reserve the right not to match prices from on-line retailers whom we deem irreputable.
All products conform to British Standards.
All illustrations, measurements and descriptions are approximate and for guidance purpose only and are subject to change and modification at any time and without notice.
Spares: Some of our chandeliers are supplied with spare crystals FREE OF CHARGE. These are supplied for the unlikely event of any getting broken in transit or broken by the customer. Once these are used we are not obliged to replace them.
All products carry a 12 month warranty (with the exception of light bulbs). This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, accident or negligence by you or any third party, and does not cover any alteration or repair carried out without our prior written agreement.
If the goods supplied to you develop a defect whilst under warranty, please contact us via e-mail with the nature of your problem and your original order number. Initially you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. All goods returned under warranty must have proof of purchase and will undergo full inspection and testing before any replacement or repairs are carried out. This may involve the product/s being returned to the Manufacturer/s. Your claim will be completed as quickly as possible. For a warranty claim that is found to not be faulty or the subject of misuse, goods will be returned to the customer at their own cost.
Unless otherwise stated bulbs (lamps) are not covered by warranty and will not be replaced regardless.
A qualified electrician MUST install all fittings supplied. Any light not installed by a fully qualified NICEIC electrician will result in void warranty. We reserve the right to request copies of invoices before proceeding with your claim.
In the event of a fault, the product will be repaired or replaced (depending on the fault that has occurred). The warranty will be void if the item is considered to have been fitted incorrectly, or been used in a manner not intended for the purpose supplied.
Lighting which comes with either a 3 year or 5 year warranty is not covered within 5 miles of the coast or 5 miles of a farm (where salt content in the air is at it's highest) - or in areas deemed to be of high pollution.

We will not assume responsibility for corrosion or any other resulting damage to our products where they are installed in areas in which fertilizers or salt are present, either in the air or in the soil, or where our products are installed near to chemical plants, etc, with emissions of heavily polluted air.
Fittings Supplied With Transformers
If installing a dimmer switch please use Trailing Edge Dimmer switches only. Whilst other types of dimmer switch are available, we are unable to offer any guarantee on the performance/life of the transformer. Voiding any warranty.
Use only the recommended halogen lamps and wattage.
LED lamps will reduce the performance of your light and will damage the transformer. All warranties will be voided

From 1st January 2005, any installation/fitting of non portable lighting may be subject to Part P of the current Building Regulations – for more information please contact your local Building Regulations Office. Failure to have non portable lighting installed/fitted by a qualified electrician will invalidate any warranty and you may be in breach of the current Building Regulations.
We will not accept liability for any personal injury that occurs as a result of improper use or installation. We will not be held liable for any electrician charges that result from a faulty light fitting.

UK Mainland delivery only. Pound Sterling only.
